Leveling Up with Databricks in the SHIRE

New developments and guidance are coming to Databricks in the SHIRE. In this seminar, JP Powers, PhD, will highlight new enhancements and functionality that will become available to users, with a particular focus on Unity Catalog. He will also address some common pitfalls and points of confusion around working with Databricks in the SHIRE.

Fall 2026 Steelman Distinguished Lecturer, Lisa M. Coussens of Oregon Health & Science University presents Inflammation and cancer: From basic mechanisms to therapeutic targets

The Coussens lab is interested in understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate leukocyte recruitment into neoplastic tissue, and the subsequent regulation those leukocytes exert on evolving cancer cells.

Semi-Structured Interviewing

This interactive online workshop will focus on semi-structured interviewing, a data collection method used in qualitative research. Topics covered will include basics of semi-structured interviews, development of interview questions and probes, interviewing skills, and considerations for conducting virtual interviews. Participants will have the opportunity to practice developing interview questions and using interviewing skills.

This event is part of the NC TraCS Qualitative Research Training Series and may be recorded. Materials such as slides or handouts will be shared with documented attendees only.
