The use of large, population-based healthcare databases is a critical component of current and future CER.

CER is focused on the broad population of patients who are seen every day in clinical care, as opposed to a much smaller group of patients who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria for a clinical trial.

Over the past several years, the number and availability of healthcare databases has increased at UNC. Fostering the use and understanding of these databases in preparation for future external grant funding opportunities is of significant interest to us. Our CTSA partner, Research Triangle Institute (RTI), also has access to various healthcare databases that may be useful for CER.

Rates for NC TraCS Services

The rates for all of our TraCS programs and services are listed below. Please request a no-cost consultation to discuss your research needs and receive a customized estimate from our team.

Rates are subject to federal guidelines and institutional policies. As such, they are reviewed and approved by the UNC Office of Sponsored Programs. Please note:

  • Rates are based on the Principal Investigator's primary appointment. Joint, secondary, and adjunct appointments or center affiliations are not considered.
  • Rates are subject to change. We recommend a modest inflation factor in your budget to account for annual increases.

Support Limitation Notice: We appreciate your interest in our services. However, please note that we are unable to provide support for academic coursework. We encourage students to consult with their academic advisors or faculty members for guidance related to their academic work.
