Biostatistics Seminar Series: Introduction to machine learning for public health

The NC TraCS Biostatistics Seminar Series is appropriate for those with a basic familiarity with statistics. These seminars introduce topics not often included in STATS 101. In this seminar, Xihao Li, PhD, will discuss machine learning as a related, but distinct, approach to analysis from classical statistics. Li will introduce some of the different techniques that exist and questions it can help answer.
