At times, CTRC staff are called upon to assist investigators with studies when research participants cannot come to the Burnett-Womack location.

Depending on the needs of the study and with advance scheduling, services may be available on UNC Medical Center inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or in nearby campus buildings within walking distance of Burnett-Womack (e.g., Fetzer Hall). These visits are generally easier to accommodate in the afternoons, when staffing levels and unit workflow typically allow greater flexibility.

Charges for Research on Location services are based on staff time and expertise. Time is invoiced in 15-minute increments (e.g., a 38-minute visit is billed as 45 minutes). Current rates, including after-hours, weekend, and overtime pricing are available at tracs.unc.edu/services/ctrc/ctrc-operations/fees.
