A "nurse-intensive" study is one that requires direct CTRC RN involvement at some point during the study. This generally includes visits or procedures that cannot be delegated to non-licensed staff, such as medication administration, serial blood draws from a PIV, or participant monitoring. This designation does not necessarily mean the visit is complex or high-acuity; it simply indicates that RN involvement is required.
