REDCap Functions Training Session

REDCap Functions is advanced training in using functions with your project such as Surveys, Randomization, Calendar/Scheduling, etc.

The session will cover Imports, Reusing Forms, Exports, Surveys, Data Quality Checks, Collecting Data Offline (REDCap Mobile), Subject App (MyCap), Pulling Epic Data, Special layouts (Shazam), Multiple Languages, and more.

Our current REDCap trainings are offered as webinar-only.

* NOTE: There are no prerequisites for taking the Functions class. Previous attendees advise that you should take one of the Forms classes prior. As a minimum, it will help if you are familiar with building forms, field types, and the options/parameters that belong to those field types.


About REDCap

REDCap is a secure web application that can be used to build and manage case report forms, surveys and other data capture mechanisms for clinical research. NC TraCS provides training classes to assist you in getting started with building REDCap data collection forms for your research projects.

TraCS Tales of Translation - Joseph Sebastian, PhD

TraCS Tales of Translation features experienced scientists from academia and industry discussing the many twists and turns that are a part of research careers in the life sciences. Participating scientists will speak about their career decisions, pivot points, what translation means to them, and their advice for early stage researchers. This week's researcher is Joseph Sebastian, PhD.

Sebastian leads Business Development & Scientific strategy for Infectious Diseases (ID) and Liver Diseases at Q2 Solutions. His responsibilities as Scientific Advisor for infectious and liver diseases he makes recommendations to ensure that Q2 Solutions has a global strategy for ID & NASH testing, including the identification of novel, cutting edge technology platforms and assays. Sebastian has over 18 years of experience in senior scientific leadership positions within the reference Laboratory and clincal trial Laboratory sectors.

There will be a Q&A session at the end.
