ViVE and the American Heart Association offer telehealth training program
The Center for Virtual Care Value and Equity (ViVE) at UNC-Chapel Hill is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA) to offer specialized virtual care and telehealth training programs.
This collaboration supports healthcare professionals (professionals and/or trainees in medicine, nursing, social work, clinical psychology, pharmacy, or dentistry) in expanding their knowledge and capabilities in delivering high-quality care through telehealth platforms. By combining the AHA's expertise in cardiovascular care with ViVE's focus on equitable and sustainable virtual care, the training provides a comprehensive resource for those seeking to advance their telehealth skills.
In a special offer, the AHA is providing free training on virtual care and telehealth. Participants who complete the course will also be eligible to receive Continuing Education (CE) credits, making it an ideal opportunity for licensed professionals or trainees in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, clinical psychology, and dentistry to stay up-to-date with the latest in virtual care practices while advancing their careers.
The online training will allow participants to complete the course at their own pace and on their own schedule. This flexible structure ensures that healthcare professionals can balance their continued education with their clinical responsibilities, making it easier to incorporate telehealth best practices into their everyday work. Key areas of focus will include patient engagement, effective use of digital tools, and strategies for delivering equitable care through virtual platforms.
Through this partnership with the AHA, ViVE is committed to empowering healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes via telehealth. By making this training accessible and convenient, the collaboration aims to drive greater adoption of virtual care, improve access for underserved populations, and ensure that more patients receive the high-quality, equitable care they deserve.
