Equipment maintenance documents and temperature reports now available 24/7 through TraCS' CTRC

The NC TraCS Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTRC) is pleased to announce the creation of an online portal to access medical equipment maintenance documents and temperature reports that are often needed for research studies.

Previously, the process for obtaining documents was time consuming and involved contacting CTRC Staff or UNC Health's Biomedical Engineering department to gain access. Now, any member of the research team has 24/7 access to the documents via the CTRC website—making the process much more efficient.

An account with NC TraCS is needed to access the documents. If you do not already have an account, you can sign up at tracs.unc.edu/register.

Once you have an account, visit tracs.unc.edu/services/ctrc/ctrc-operations/documents to download the documents needed.

A few helpful tips and reminders:

  • Documents are uploaded to the website by the equipment tag or facility number (affixed to the unit) and by the month and year of service
  • Documents include those from UNC Health's Biomedical Engineering department (i.e. patient equipment including centrifuges), Minus80Monitoring (i.e. temperature reports) and UNC Facilities (i.e. maintenance documents for freezers and specimen refrigerator)
  • In general, documents will be available on the website about a month after the service has been completed
  • For Minus80Monintoring, a file count of zero (0) does not reflect the actual number of documents in the folders due to subfolders
  • If a document is not listed for the time needed, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
