Dr. Watkins receives Rawls-Palmer Progress in Medicine Award

Paul Watkins, MD, is a recipient of this year's ASCPT Scientific Awards. Dr. Watkins was awarded the Rawls-Palmer Progress in Medicine Award.

Dr. Watkins is Director of the Hamner-UNC Institute for Drug Safety Sciences, Verne S. Caviness Distinguished Professor of Medicine, and Professor of Toxicology in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

The American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT)'s awards program seeks to recognize outstanding science in clinical pharmacology. The awards span the continuum of clinical pharmacology and recognize every turning point in the career path from young investigator to seasoned scientist.
