RFP Synopsis:
The Harrington Discovery Institute is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) to recognize physician-scientist innovators whose research has the potential to advance standard of care. Funding goes towards research and drug development as well as non-financial support to selected innovators and their institutions. The award is intended for projects aimed at clinical introduction of new medicines (drugs or biologics) with a specific focus on fundamental discovery or development of novel drugs or biologics or drug-device combinations. Personnel is capped at 10% for PI; indirect/overhead costs are not allowed. Applicant PI must hold a PhD or MD/PhD and have a faculty position. There can only be one PI responsible for the project and financial management. Past recipients of the Harrington Scholar-Innovator Awards may submit new and distinct proposals but may not seek additional support for previously funded projects.
