Community research feedback sessions on reproductive health available to researchers

Sarah Verbiest, DrPH, MSW, MPH (Co-PI)

UNC researchers: You are eligible for a no-cost opportunity to receive patient feedback on your research.

A team at UNC (funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute — PCORI) in partnership with the TraCS PaCER program has established a cohort of women who:

  • identify as Black and/or Native American
  • are of reproductive age
  • have been diagnosed with at least one chronic health condition

This group is experienced in working together, and is prepared and eager to provide feedback on work related to reproductive health. The team is interested in patient centered outcomes research but is flexible—qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods are appropriate for this opportunity.

Narges Farahi, MD (Co-PI)

The following topics are of particular interest:

  1. Reproductive/pelvic issues such as endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS
  2. Autoimmune conditions such as MS, rheumatoid arthritis, hyper- and hypo-thyroidism, and lupus
  3. High blood pressure and heart conditions

View the Community Feedback Session FAQ (pdf) to learn more. Sessions and conversations will be held via zoom so that the team can work with researchers anywhere in the US. There is no cost to the research team.
