TraCS announces new K12 Scholars for 2023

NC TraCS is pleased to welcome the following faculty as new TraCS K12 Scholars:
Bianca Allison, MD (Department of Pediatrics)
Kelly Caravella, PhD (Department of Psychiatry)
Owen Fenton, PhD (School of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics)
Stephen Schworer, MD (Department of Medicine)
Andreea Waltmann, PhD (Department of Medicine)
Andrew Satterlee, PhD (Eshelman Institute)
K12 Scholars receive up to 3 years of funding to support research and training in translational science.
The TraCS K12 Program is a mentored career development award in translational science. Under the direction of mentors and TraCS K leadership (Drs. Michelle Hernandez and Jon Juliano) scholars will conduct translational science projects and receive training to develop leadership and mentoring skills in the principles of translational scienceand learn how those principles can be applied to develop solutions for research barriers and inefficiencies.
