TraCS funding and resources available amid COVID-19 Pandemic

We are well positioned to support and accelerate promising coronavirus and COVID-19 research. This positioning is underscored by Microsoft Academic ranking of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as #3 in the United States in volume of published coronavirus research, behind only the CDC and the NIH. Globally, UNC-Chapel Hill is ranked #7 in coronavirus research.

During this unprecedented time, we make it a priority to respond actively to fund projects addressing the current crisis. Through our COVID-19 Request for Applications we seek to support translational research addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Proposals for this special call are due by 5pm ET on April 24, 2020. We have already funded four projects addressing COVID-19 submitted earlier this year through our regular pilot funding programs.

As the integrated hub of the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program at UNC-Chapel Hill, we leverage the research strengths, resources and opportunities of the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, partner institution RTI International in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, and North Carolina State University in Raleigh. We encourage all of our partners to check out not only our funding opportunities, but also those recently announced by NCATS and the NIH.

Our mission to accelerate clinical and translational research to health care delivery is as immediate a need now as it has ever been. TraCS will continue to do our part in combating COVID-19, including helping you and your study. Please explore the TraCS Website or request a consultation today!
