TDSL Seminar: US Health System: Function to Data
U.S. Health System: Function to Data
Join the TraCS Data Science Lab for a seminar given by Peter Leese introducing the complex landscape of the U.S. health system— from its organizational structure to the wealth of data it generates. This seminar provides an accessible overview of how healthcare delivery, policy, and financing mechanisms shape the types of data collected and generated across the system. We will briefly discuss how these data—from electronic health records to insurance claims—can be leveraged for research and public health, offering insights into both the capabilities and limitations of health data in the United States.
