Funding Opportunity: NIH Lasker Clinical Research Scholars Program

The NIH Lasker Clinical Research Scholars Program was established to grow the diminishing pool of talented clinical/translational researchers. The program provides 8+ years of funding. Years 1-5: NIH Intramural Research Program full support (salary and research support); Years 6-8: salary and/or research support of up to $500,000/year at outside institution, or continuation in Intramural Research Program.

Candidates must have an MD, MD/ Ph.D., DO, DDS, DMD, RN/ Ph.D., or equivalent clinical doctoral degree from an accredited domestic or foreign institution and must have a professional license to practice in the United States.

The program is intended for early-stage investigators. At the time of application, applicants must be no more than 10 years from completion of their core residency training. Applicants who have completed their core residency in June 2008 are still eligible. Applicants will generally have completed or been completing a post-residency clinical fellowship and will have demonstrated significant patient-oriented research experience to qualify for a tenure-track level appointment. Scholars do not have to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Deadline: August 31, 2018
