CAGAT Community Workshop: Collaboratively engaging community partners to improve grants management

Community engaged research involves partnership-building between community members and academic researchers so that they are better able to communicate about multiple aspects of research.

One area that is often not fully discussed by both partners before collaborating on a research project is the business side of how to work with an academic institution. The Community Partners' Workshop is intended to help community members navigate some of the business processes associated with submitting and managing community engaged research grants.

This workshop is intended to increase community partners' knowledge of the pre- and post-award grants management process and improve skills in completing key procedures for submitting and managing grants.
