NC State's Data Science Initiative hosts RED talk

NC State's Data Science Initiative is having its next RED talk at Duke Energy Hall at Hunt Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

Dr. Laura Haas, IBM Fellow, Director of IBM's Accelerated Discovery Lab, ACM Distinguished Speaker, and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering will give a talk entitled "The Power Behind The Throne: Information Integration in the Age of Data-Driven Discovery."

In this talk, Dr. Haas will explore the dramatic changes in data integration and highlight the on-going work at the Accelerated Discovery Lab to find insights to solve problems of business and societal importance, the advances in the field that enable it, and the challenges that remain.
