NIH to offer new class in clinical research

Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR)

NIH hopes to open online registration by Friday, September 9th and will share more details once registration is open. The course directors are currently making some minor edits to the course format. Participants will have plenty of time to register as registration will stay open until mid-December.

Course Description: The online Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR) is a course to train participants on how to effectively conduct clinical research. The course focuses on the spectrum of clinical research and the research process by highlighting epidemiologic methods, study design, protocol preparation, patient monitoring, quality assurance, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issues. This course will be of interest to physicians, scientists, medical students, nurses, public health professionals, and all other health professionals planning a career.
