The Symposium for Health Access Research in Southeastern North Carolina seeks to bring together leaders working to achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all people in our community. The goal is to elevate the work being done by researchers, local organizations, and community members as well as foster collaborations for future initiatives.

Request for Abstracts

The HARAC invites abstract submissions for research addressing health access issues in southeastern North Carolina. They welcome work addressing not only access to medical care, but also improvement in quality of life, well-being, and overall health.

Abstracts that describe quality improvement initiatives, framed within a research context and designed to enhance healthcare delivery, access, or outcomes, are also encouraged. These abstracts will be considered for presentation at the Third Annual Symposium for Health Access Research in Southeastern North Carolina, to be held on March 13, 2026, in Wilmington, NC at UNCW. The symposium serves as a key platform for local researchers, organizations, and community members to engage in training, share research, and build connections for collaboration to advance health access in the region.
