UNC Data Science Day scheduled for September 26
Join the School of Data Science & Society on Thursday, September 26, 2024 for their second annual Data Science Day.
This year's theme is Data Science for Science and Society. The Carolina community is invited to showcase their work and the transformative impact of data science on scientific endeavors and societal well-being. This campus-wide conference aims to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations within and across theoretical advances and real-world applications.
Check out the Data Science Day agenda for speaker and session information. The event is free, but registration is required. The event which will be held at the Carolina Union from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All Carolina faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a portion of the event or the whole day.
Call for Short Talk Proposals and Poster Abstracts
The School of Data Science & Society is now accepting submissions for 10-minute "short talks" sessions from faculty and staff researchers.
The deadline for short talk proposals is 5 p.m., Tuesday, August 13. They are also accepting poster abstracts from Carolina undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs. The deadline for poster abstracts is 5 p.m., Friday, August 30.
