NCATS issues RFI on new strategic plan framework

The NCATS Strategic Plan for 2024–2029 is a vital roadmap that will support the center's mission of turning research observations into health solutions through translational science.

In November 2022, NCATS began developing their strategic plan, which involved several public engagement activities aimed at soliciting input on their priorities and strategies.

After gathering feedback through nearly 50 listening sessions with more than 1,100 individuals across NCATS communities, they drafted a strategic plan framework. This framework includes proposed goals, context, and overarching themes that will shape the path forward.

NCATS recently issued a request for information (RFI) to seek input on the framework from the public, including NIH staff. The framework will be further developed into the NCATS Strategic Plan for 2024–2029.

The RFI is open for responses through November 1, 2023. To learn more about the framework, visit ncats.nih.gov/strategicplan.

NCATS values the feedback received so far, and they look forward to hearing from you and others in the community on the strategic plan framework.
