NIH launches new look and functions for RePORTER site

When looking for funding, it's useful to know what agencies have funded work like yours—to ensure that funding hasn't already been granted to similar work, and even to identify investigators doing similar work (with a view to collaborating).

NIH RePORTER is a great way to see who has been funded to do what research—and by what institute. Previously, the availability of a large variety of search parameters made searching difficult. NIH has now simplified the process with a new Quick Search function while still retaining advanced search features if needed.

RePORTER upgrades also include a new MyRePORTER dashboard where you can save searches in various formats and set up automated email alerts to notify you of specific grant or publication additions.

Visit NIH's Open Mike for complete info including a video tutorial.

NOTE: Making the most of RePORTER's new capabilities, including saving search parameters and automatic notifications, requires a login.gov account. See tracs.unc.edu/regulations for more information.
