NC TraCS Community Advisory Board Member Recognized

Acting Surgeon General Boris D. The US Surgeon General has recognized Dr. Sharon Elliott-Bynum, NC TraCS CARES Community Advisory Board member, Research Engaged Community (REC) Scholar, Community Expert, and Co-Investigator, for her commitment to building strong communities and public health service as the Executive Director and co-founder of Healing with CAARE, Inc. in Durham, NC.

CAARE is a nonprofit organization that provides services for people with chronic diseases, addressing both the medical causes and the social and human factors that contribute to them. It provides a number of community services at no cost including health screenings, clinic services, exercise classes and job readiness programming.
