Terms and Conditions

The NC TraCS Institute is one of approximately 62 CTSA medical research institutions working together as a national consortium to improve the way biomedical research is conducted across the country. We are required to report to the NIH specific information on all activities receiving benefits from our program.

As part of working/collaborating with us, it is expected that you share outcomes and stories with us that we can report to the NIH and other sponsors (grants submitted/funded, publications, presentations, etc., as requested).

It is of most importance that NC TraCS, the UNC CTSA, be acknowledged and cited where appropriate as providing support in publications, abstracts, posters, press releases, presentations, and other documents. For specific wording to use in citing our NIH grant, please go here and bookmark this page for future use.

It is crucial that all publications be deposited in PubMed Central (PMC), NIH's digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature. We ask that you remember and be responsible for ensuring that if the publisher does not automatically do this, that you follow-through. Note: If you would like assistance or have questions about putting your publications into PubMed Central (PMC), we are happy the help. Contact us at
