Qualitative Research Services

Qualitative research is often used in community-engaged research as a way to bring stakeholder/participant experiences and community voices to light.

Remote Data Collection

For researchers conducting studies remotely due to COVID-19, the CaSE team offers tips and tools for conducting qualitative data collection remotely.

Consultative Services

Our staff offer free consultative services to researchers wanting to enhance their understanding of qualitative research methods. This includes providing guidance on qualitative research best practices and approaches for specific projects and review of qualitative data collection instruments.

On a limited basis, we can join research teams in a mentorship role to provide more extensive guidance on qualitative data collection or analysis (fee applies).


We offer periodic trainings on qualitative research-related topics. NC TraCS-sponsored trainings are provided at no cost and are available to everyone, including those outside of UNC. Upcoming trainings are posted on the NC TraCS calendar and shared via the NC TraCS email newsletter.

On a limited basis, we can provide qualitative research trainings tailored to needs of specific studies (fee applies).
