The UNC Lineberger Cancer Research and Career Enhancement Core in conjunction with the UNC Lineberger Equity Council is offering a free Zoom workshop on the planning and submission of NCI individual trainee applications, such as the F31, K01 and K08, for underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities (UREM) pre-doctoral, post-doctoral and clinical fellows.

The workshop will also cover the planning and submission of diversity supplements for principal investigators of existing grants awards such as R01, P01 and P50. Alison Lin, PharmD will give an overview of the award mechanisms offered by NCI as well as some tips on preparing a strong application. Her presentation will be followed by a panel, consisting of Lin and UNC investigators who have received one of these awards, to answer your questions.

The goal of the workshop is to increase the number of URM trainees within UNC Lineberger who receive extramural support for their research studies.
