UNC NRP Education Session: Informatics-Ready Cohorts: Creating Ideal Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria for Data-Driven Recruitment

If you’ve ever used the Carolina Data Warehouse to define a patient cohort for recruitment or analysis, you’ve been asked to provide inclusion/exclusion criteria for your population of interest. In this talk, you’ll get some tips for ensuring that your criteria is “informatics ready,” and will result in the most accurately defined cohort for your research.

Objectives:
- Attendees will learn how to craft inclusion/exclusion criteria for cohorts that can be readily translated into code by an analyst.
- Attendees will learn which selection criteria are most readily available/analyzable in electronic health record databases
