• Increase the number of externally funded CER projects
• Increase the use of existing databases by a broader range of investigators
• Collaborate with other organizations on cohort studies and large pragmatic trials using EMR derived data and linked data sources
• Implement high quality CER into e.g., clinical guidelines
• Increase the number of high impact CER publications
• Increase the use of stakeholder-engaged research to address CER questions

Enhance education of clinician-scientists in a range of CER methods

• Provide CER educational opportunities through seminars, the MSCR programs, training grants and other opportunities at the university
• Increase interdisciplinary collaborations with UNC faculty
• Collaborate with other CTSAs to provide CER educational opportunities
