Date: November 10, 2016
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, Winston-Salem, NC

The Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute is sponsoring a workshop on November 10, 2016, entitled Primates 101: A Practicum for Using Monkeys in Research. The event will take place at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, a new facility in downtown Winston-Salem.

The practicum comprises nine 20-minute presentations, each devoted to a separate topic related to the use of monkeys in translational research (see below). The presentations will use real-world examples to guide prospective investigators, laboratory personnel, and administrators through the complexities of primate studies; the material is especially designed for individuals at institutions lacking their own primate facilities.
