Pragmatic Trials / Large Simple Trials
Pragmatic trials are designed to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in real-life routine practice where results may be more generalizable and applicable to clinical care. Unlike explanatory trials which aim to evaluate the efficacy of an intervention in a well-defined, homogenous population and controlled setting, pragmatic trials aim to examine the effectiveness of interventions in routine patients and routine practice.
