TraCS IDSci supports investigator studies with innovative technology and advanced analytics.

See our elevator pitches below for an overview of what we do, and use the links to the right to explore our services in depth.

With TraCS Informatics and Data Science, you can:

  • Request to work with a Carolina Data Warehouse analyst to extract and analyze UNC Health patient data in support of your research
  • Use i2b2 to explore UNC Health patient data in a de-identified environment to determine feasibility for future studies
  • Collaborate on data-driven research with colleagues at peer institutions by leveraging our Clinical Data Research Networks and PCORnet
  • Use EMERSE and CLARK to search free text clinical notes from the electronic health record to support your research studies
  • Request features to be built in Epic for use in research data collection, recruitment or clinical decision support
  • Enter, manage, and report on study participant data for your clinical trials, patient registries, and observational studies using REDCap
  • Get resources, education, and training for healthcare data scientists through the TraCS Data Science Lab
  • See how an interest in informatics can become a certification or degree through UNC's informatics academic programs
