NC TraCS Award Announcements

The NC TraCS Institute is pleased to announce awardees of the third cycle of Carolinas Collaborative grants.

The four Carolinas CTSA hubs are Duke University, the Medical University of South Carolina, Wake Forest University, and UNC (a CTSA hub made up of the UNC-Chapel Hill campus in partnership with RTI International [RTI], North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University [N.C. A&T], and North Carolina State University [NC State]). They have partnered with the Carolinas Collaborative, managed by Health Sciences South Carolina (HSSC), to provide a data resource (i2b2/Shrine) that harmonizes the electronic health record data elements highlighted in the CDMv3.0 across the institutions to expedite clinical research and quality improvement activities. This pilot program is designed to encourage and facilitate novel clinical and translational research that applies or accelerates discovery into testing in clinical or population settings.
