This seminar is part of the TraCS Professional Development Seminar Series -- attendees can sign up for the whole semester, which includes sessions devoted to Works in Progress and interacting with currently funded K scholars and other successful researchers, or can attend single sessions.

The weekly seminar series focuses on skills essential for a biomedical research team leader or team member. Topics include: how to write a paper and the publishing process, developing a good research question, the basics of questionnaire design, how to give a 10 minute talk, resources to support research, and establishing effective mentoring relationships.

Session: Introduction to Qualitative Research and Focus Groups

Description: Basic concepts and principles that are the foundation for qualitative research. The second hour will discuss how to organize and run focus groups.
