Carolina KickStart is able to mine a rich network of entrepreneurs, thinkers and investors to help startup companies fill the talent gap. We help companies connect to senior management, consultants, field experts, business development professionals and more.
The Research Triangle Park region has a number of talented entrepreneurs. Many of these entrepreneurs would like to be involved in university startups but don’t have a way to connect with the startups. Carolina KickStart provides a number of formal and informal ways to bring talent to UNC Startups including:
- Emerging Company Showcase - Each year, Carolina KickStart, along with KFBS and OTD, organize a showcase for early stage companies emerging from the University. The showcase attracts hundreds of local entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers to hear company presentations and meet with founders.
- Coaching - Launching the Venture recruits a number of local entrepreneurs to coach the LTV teams. Many times these coaches continue to act as advisors after the course.
- Informal Network - The Director and ERs maintain a rich network of entrepreneurs and investors which they use for introducing startup opportunities.
- Digital Health Innovation Forums - Digital Health has the ability to change the way healthcare operates, drastically reducing costs and improving patient care. Carolina KickStart hosts forums to give feedback to faculty, staff and students from experienced entrepreneurs in this emerging space.
